Overview

Throughline ("the App") is a value stream mapping tool that runs entirely on your device. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

All process maps, step data, and settings you create in Throughline are stored locally on your device using your browser's or app's local storage. No data is sent to any server, cloud service, or third party.

Analytics

Throughline uses Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage data such as screen views and feature usage (e.g. which export formats are used). This helps us understand how the app is used and improve it.

Google Analytics does not have access to your process maps or step data. We do not collect personally identifiable information. Google's privacy policy applies to the analytics data collected.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Google Analytics 4 — anonymous usage analytics (see above)
• Google Fonts — loads the IBM Plex Sans typeface

Data Sharing

When you share a map via link, the map data is encoded directly in the URL fragment. It is never sent to any server — the recipient's device decodes it locally. Share links can only be read by someone who has the full link.

Data Export

You may export your data as YAML, CSV, PNG, or PDF files. These exports are generated locally on your device and are not transmitted to any server.

Children's Privacy

Throughline does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The only data collected is anonymous analytics as described above.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
